Parker @ 32 weeks

We had a GREAT and INTERESTING appointment today. Yes Parker is GROWING HUGE! He's already 5 pounds and 4 ounces. I am 32 weeks but measuring 34 weeks. Dr. Ricks thinks there might be some genetics involved in his size since my testing came back fine for the gestational diabetes but he still advised me to watch carbs, sodium, and sweets....what else does that leave me? Just kidding! :) He is looking at inducing on August 5th unless preterm labor beats us to that day. He'd like to reach 39 weeks if all possible b/c of what he calls "wimpy white boy syndrome" where their lungs arn't quite fully developed as much as they should be typically in white males. I have another appointment in 2 weeks for just a check up and another appointment with another sonogram two weeks after that, that we will re-look at the due date to see if it needs to be reevaluated due to size. Definately exciting and realistic. I can't believe it's right around the corner. These are definately some of my FAVORITE sonogram pictures. He is so CUTE and has little rose bud lips!! We'll keep you updated! Email: katie_thomas@verizon.net

WHEW!

WHEW! The showers were lots of fun and they've come to an end. It was so good to see my friends and family and catching up with friends i haven't seen in awhile. In the mean time, Parker must be growing. His kicks and punches are becoming more visable to the eye and I can feel him quite often. Mom even pushed on my stomach and it felt like he did a whole flip around. It was quite interesting. I am looking forward to my next appointment June 17th where we can see Parker again through sono. I am hoping for some better sonogram pictures and maybe even some 4D ones (fingers crossed). We'll keep you posted! The fun part is here: SUMMER! Let's hope it's not too hot of one. I need a swimming pool! Maybe I'll buy a kiddie pool. :) As I left school Friday my teacher friends were coming up saying, "The next time we'll see you, you'll be a mommy!" That was so weird to hear but very true!
